Improving patient-centeredness in acute internal medicine: implementation and cross-cultural validation of the Patient Reported Measure-acute care in the Emergency Department.

This project aims to improve the quality of acute internal medicine, by investigating the patient’s value on the quality of acute internal medicine using the Patient Reported Measure-acute care. This enables acute internists to improve the perceived quality of care. As cultural differences may influence the perceived quality of care, we will analyse the cross-cultural validity of the PRM-acute care in this project. Secondly, we will measure the effect of implementing the PRM-acute care on the perceived quality by patients. Finally, we will evaluate the experiences of physicians using the PRM-acute care.
